Mom in the City is an NYC mom lifestyle blog that has been in existence since 2005. I (Kimberly) share easy recipes for home cooks; some of the best family activities and entertainment for moms of elementary school-aged boys; parenting tips and advice as well as some fun “just for mom” finds on this site and its accompanying mini-podcast, The Mom in the City Show on iTunes and Google Play Music.
In addition to this site, I am also the creator or co-creator of the following:
Blog: Easy Soul Food Recipes
eBook: Soul Food: 31 Easy Recipes for Home Cooks
Family-Friendly T-Shirts: Our Family Tees
Website Training and Development: RK Responsive Design
After graduating from Columbia College with a degree in History-Sociology, I spent a decade in corporate America (including Salomon Smith Barney and Time Inc.) working in consumer research and business analysis. After having my first son in 2004, I became a work at home mom (WAHM) because I couldn’t bear to leave my chunky baby with anyone else. Fortunately, I was able to merge my corporate and “mom consumer” skills to become a professional lifestyle blogger – here at my personal blog Mom in the City and for various brand sites (including ParentZone and CBS). I currently work as a professional Creator (writer, web developer, and project-based strategist).
