About Mom in the City
Mom in the City is a NYC mom lifestyle blog. I share easy recipes for home cooks; some of the best family activities and entertainment for moms of elementary school-aged boys; parenting tips and advice as well as some fun “just for mom” finds. *I merged my popular food blog (Foodie City Mom) into Mom in the City in March of 2014 so that all moms can come right here to find easy food and recipe options (New-York style).
-Readers tend to like healthy recipes and comfort food recipes plus dining out recommendations.

-I have two grade school sons, so family fun coverage tends to lean that way. They love superhero movies, video games, STEM, books and traveling together as a family. I’m happy with that mix. Birthday gift and holiday posts are especially popular.
-On the parenting front, I share tips and advice from “experts” and what has worked for me so far.

-Each mom is unique. That is why you’ll find posts about my current beauty and style interests, pursuit to stay healthy, home finds and technology picks as well.
After graduating from Columbia College with a degree in History-Sociology, I spent a decade in corporate America (including Salomon Smith Barney and Time Inc.) working in consumer research and business analysis. After having my first son in 2004, I became a work at home mom (WAHM) because I couldn’t bear to leave my chunky baby with anyone else. Fortunately, I was able to merge my corporate and “mom consumer” skills to become a professional lifestyle blogger – here at my personal blog Mom in the City and for various brand sites (including ParentZone and CBS). Now, I work as a professional blogger and web developer.
