Eight Non-Candy Easter Basket Treats (Giveaway)

Did you know that Easter is the second top-selling candy holiday? It’s second only to Halloween. If you want to go in a different direction/stay away from the sugary treats, why not fill your kids’ baskets with one of the following treats? (They are all recession-friendly/affordable/less than $10.)

As a special treat, one lucky Mom in the City reader will receive six of the items (the starred ones).

Books
1. Barefoot Books (Varies): Recently, a Mom in the City member gifted two of this company’s books to my sons (thanks Junnie!). They had me read the books over and over again, especially Bear on a Bike ($6.99).

6. Mr. Potato Head Spud Bunny ($4.99): There’s something about a Mr. Potato Head… I gave one of these ones that change into a bunny to my little nephew while he was over our home visiting. It was interesting seeing how everyone (grown-ups included!) kept playing with his new toy. In fact, I might need to get another one, because Sean kept trying to “steal” it up until he left claiming that it was “my toy”.

7. *Only Hearts Pets ($3.99): These little (they are only 2″ tall!) pets are very soft and cute. There are a lot of different ones for kids (of all ages) to collect. (The winner will receive Wooly the Lamb.)
