Family Activities in NYC This Weekend: Breukelen Country Fair,
30th Annual Queens County Fair & More

Fall begins tomorrow and nothing says “fall” better than fairs. Below are two top options:

1. Breukelen Country Fair
(September 22nd from 1pm to 6pm)

Wyckoff Farmhouse Museum
5816 Clarendon Road
Brooklyn, NY 11203

The Wyckoff Farmhouse Museum, NYC’s oldest house, will celebrate Brooklyn’s farming history at their old-fashioned fair. Bring the family to enjoy a day filled with music, entertainment, arts, crafts and much more. Fire-pit cooked traditional food is also on the plan for the day. The fee is reasonable…$5 for adults and $3 for children ages 10 and under.

2. 30th Annual Queens County Fair
(September 22nd and 23rd from 11am to 6pm)

Queens County Farm Museum
73-50 Little Neck Parkway
Floral Park, New York 11004-1129
(718) 347-3276

Country comes to the city in this popular annual fair. Bring your kids out to Queens so that the entire family can experience an authentic, scaled down outdoor county fair. There will be traditional blue ribbon competitions (in livestock, produce, home crafts and more), free crafts for kids, contests (including pie-eating and corn-husking) and much more. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for$8.00; children (12 and under). Note that admission does not include maze, carnival rides/games and some other fair activities. Visit their site to get the link to a pdf containing their Fair Activity Guide and Map.
