Food is important to my family…especially “my guys”. There was a point when we had each family member say three hings that were great about the day while we were eating dinner together. Wouldn’t you know that “eating a great dinner” was on the guys’ lists almost every night? Whether dining in or eating out, they love to eat. That is why I was quick to say “yes” when Outback Steakhouse invited me to be a part of a sponsored campaign to share some information and to offer a giveaway to Mom in the City readers. (On a related note, if you have not tasted Outback’s blooming onion or crab stuffed shrimp, do yourself a favor and try them.)
Outback Bronx Opening & Fundraiser
A new “Modern Australia” designed Outback Steakhouse opened in The Mall at Bay Plaza in the Bronx this past Monday, September 28th. The official address is 270 Baychester Ave.; Bronx, NY 10475 and the phone number is (718) 304-0483.
As with previous branch openings, Outback is actively working to show its support of the local community. To that end, the new Outback Bronx restaurant will be hosting a fundraiser for Harry S. Truman High School, a public high school in the Co-op section of the Bronx. The fundraiser will be held from 11am until closing (10pm) next Monday, October 5th and a portion of the day’s sales will benefit the high school. If you live in the Bronx or can stop by the area next Monday, please go out and support a public high school while enjoying some great food – steak, chicken and seafood are just a few options.
