Season of Savings: The Phantom of the Opera Giveaway

Congrats to the winner…LaMont!

Last month, I attended an event hosted by Season of Savings. It was held at Tony’s Di Napoli, a really great family style Italian restaurant in midtown Manhattan.  (If you can deal with the midtown crowds, the food is definitely worth the trip.)  At the end of the dinner, I was gifted two orchestra tickets to see The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. Unfortunately, the date and time (Wednesday, October 12th at 8pm) don’t fit in my schedule.  This actually works out quite well for one of you…because I’m going to give the two tickets away to a Foodie City Mom newsletter subscriber!

As my readers who have come over here with me from “Mom in the City” know, I love the theater.  For me, Broadway shows are a quintessential part of NYC life.  The Season of Savings program, which began a decade ago, is obviously in agreement.  After 9/11, theater ticket sales and Times Square businesses took an economic hit, so the idea of this special edition Playbill was formed. It is published twice a year and contains discount coupons for a variety of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, restaurants, hotels and other attractions. You can find the full list of participating shows on the Season of Savings website.

Now, back to the ticket giveaway…

To enter to win the two tickets to The Phantom of the Opera, Foodie City Mom newsletter subscribers  please let me know the name of your favorite Broadway show that is featured  in the Fall Season of Savings Playbill.  Since time is of the essence, I will pick a winner from the “Comments” section on October 4th at noon EST. Good luck!
