Flowers and chocolates are great gifts, but they only last a few days (okay – minutes, depending on the type of chocolate!). Why not treat yourself (or your mom) to a gift that helps you keep in touch with your loved ones? Windows phones fit the bill. They allow you to access computer functions (i.e. accessing contacts, sending e-mails, keeping track of the family schedule, etc.) from practically anywhere. You can also take pictures and video from them. Lastly, Windows phones run on the same system as home personal computers, so they’re relatively user-friendly.
I’m really excited that one lucky Mom in the City reader will receive a Windows phone – the pink (my favorite color!) Samsung BlackJack II. (Even if you don’t win, the phone is reasonably priced. It only costs $49.99 with a plan.)

This phone is fantastic – love, love, love the color and it has SO many great features it is difficult to decide which one I would use the most. In my opinion, the ability to replace so many of my everyday electronics like the GPS and the Camera – with ONE piece of equipment would be the best feature – traveling lighter means getting more done!
Wow!! the many different software apps would make this gadget a must-have for anyone who is now using a plain old cell phone. Which would be me. I’m behind the times. I need this!!
