Last month, I participated in an Avon call featuring financial expert Suze Orman. A “Special Personal Finance Advisor to Avon Representatives”, Suze helped to introduce “Success Without Limits,” Avon’s first ever paid recruitment program about their earning opportunities. Hosted by Deborah Norville, the piece features Avon Representatives sharing their various stories of success.
If you’re interested in direct sales, Avon is a great company to consider. I wondered why (out of all the direct selling companies out there) Suze Orman had decided to partner with Avon. Low entry cost (around $10), the ability to return unsold products and Avon’s commitment to helping women achieve economic independence were a few of the reasons Suze gave for her involvement. On a personal note, my mom sold Avon for many years while I was growing up to supplement her income. I remember going with her to drop off books, take and deliver orders. As a kid, it was fun meeting a variety of people through her job.
