When I think about it, many of my favorite gifts over the years have been experience gifts. It’s not that I don’t like things – I do. I just usually end up giving them away after a while because I don’t normally get attached to physical things. Experiences are different though, because I keep those memories forever. The Globetrotters “Magical Memories” tour marks their 84th season. It begins on December 26th and will run through May 2nd. You can buy tickets and view the team’s tour schedule at www.harlemglobetrotters.com. While there, kids can send email fan letters (the Globetrotters players personally respond to them); see Globetrotter history, photos and news. Mom in the City readers can use the code HGMOM to get a $7 discount for each online ticket purchased.
