Recently, I was sent Ziggy Marley’s “Family Time” CD to preview. I put it in my CD player and was amazed by how much he sounded like his father Bob Marley. Then, I started to wonder if I had been sent the right CD or not, because the songs that I were hearing were “Could You Be Loved” and “No Woman, No Cry” which I didn’t think were especially appropriate for young kids. I went over to my player in order to look at the titles of the songs on the CD and they were different from what I was hearing. Then, I figured out the problem – I was listening to the RADIO station (that just so happened to be playing a “best of Bob Marley” segment) – I had hit the wrong “play” button. (Oh well, I never claimed to be a technological genius.) So, I went back and started listening to the actual CD. Ziggy Marley does sound a lot like his father, but his “Family Time” CD is much more kid-friendly!

“Ziggy Marley is bringing music to the LITTLE people! He is releasing his first children’s album and has invited some family and pretty cool friends to join him on it. Jack Johnson, Laurie Berkner, Elizabeth Mitchell and Jamie Lee Curtis are only a few of the artists featured on the CD Family Time, in stores May 5th. In addition to some well known classics like “This Train” and “Hold Him Joe” Ziggy has written many original songs on this release which are endearing tributes to his family with many sage words of wisdom for kids.”
