After writing my Finding Balance post, I decided to clean out my closets. So that is exactly what my family and I did Saturday during the day. It was great. We found some things to give to charity and some to give to friends. I also found some new things that I want to give to you. I wrote a bit about the DVD on this post. Since then, my kids have watched the entire movie (time and time again). They both love it and watch closely to make sure that I don’t give their copy away.

If your little ones love Thomas & Friends, here’s one DVD that you’ll definitely want to add to your collection: Thomas & Friends: Hero of the Rails.

Last month, I was lucky enough to attend a “sneak peak” screening of this new feature. (It was just a sneak peak though. I’m eager to see the entire film.) It had all of the normal things that parents love about Thomas – moral themes (friendship, usefulness, teamwork, etc.) in a non-preachy way. What’s new (and what it made it more interesting for both me and my kids) is that this is the first time a Thomas movie has been animated in CGI. That means there are individual character voices for the engines. The kids (and the adults) at the screening really enjoyed hearing the voice of Thomas and his friends. I think that you will too!
