Recently, I was sent two copies of the Second Edition of Your Pregnancy for the Father-to-Be – one for a review and one for a giveaway. I gave my review copy to a first-time expectant mom (aren’t they the cutest?!) for her husband. The next day, I saw her at her desk intently reading it!

I can understand why the mom is sharing this book for dads – it’s very informative. This book is by Glade B. Curtis, M.D., M.P.H. and Judith Schuler, M.S, the authors of the best-selling book, Your Pregnancy™ Week by Week. No book covers everything (because each pregnancy, birth story and baby is different!) but this one comes really close.

This updated edition includes a wealth of information to help expectant dads be more informed bout pregnancy, childbirth, and getting ready for a new baby. Not only is medical information included, but areas such as finances and the baby’s effect on the mom/dad relationship are also covered. Overall, this book does a wonderful job of including the father-to-be in the entire pregnancy process/helping him to see that he is an essential part of the pregnancy. In my opinion, this book would make a thoughtful gift for any new expectant dad.
