Yummly for Publishers

When Michael turned 11 last month, I realized that I have been blogging for 10 years. Time really does fly! The thing that I love about blogging is that it is constantly changing as an industry and that I can adapt my blog to my lifestyle. I can barely stay on top of all of the new social media platforms (i.e. Meerkat and Periscope). Fortunately, I don’t feel the need to do so. I’m only concerned about the platforms that my audience (moms) are active on. I figure this out by listening to the moms (both online and offline) in my life and by paying attention to my Google Analytics to see where my website visitors are coming from.

Last month, I noticed that Yummly.com was one of my top three traffic referrers so I visited the site. It turns out that Yummly is a site that shares recommendations for recipes. Since recipes are one of the main four categories of Mom in the City and it doesn’t require any extra work on my part, it made sense for me to become a publisher on Yummly.

What this means for MitC blog readers:
You can use the Yum social sharing button (at the end of my posts) to save my recipes to your personal recipe box. (I will be building out my Yummly publisher page so that it will be easy for you to find my recipes.)

Yummly for Publishers (What this means for my fellow blogging colleagues):
Consider joining the Yummly Publisher Network so that you can get your content featured too. (P.S. If you are already on Yummly, let me know so that I can check out your recipes. Thanks!)
