2015 Best Books for Elementary School Boys
(Mom in the City’s “Boy-Approved” Holiday Picks)

best books for elementary school boys

This wasn’t an especially great publication year for books geared towards grade-school boys (ages 6-13) because there was not a lot of new releases.  Yet, we were able to pull together some of the 2015 Best Books for Elementary School Boys – three new books and two older ones.

Jeff Kinney’s new book Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School will be released on November 3rd.

-*Rick Riordan’s Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, Book 1: The Sword of Summer was released on October 6th.

-*Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson’s Greek Heroes was released on August 18th.

-Michael has enjoyed reading the classic Adventures of Huckleberry Finn for his 6th grade class. (It has some racial and language things that need to be explained but overall, I appreciate that he is enjoying a “classic” book.)

-After seeing the Goosebumps movie, both of my sons started to enjoy reading the Goosebumps books.

I have also included other “Boy- Approved” book picks in the following posts:
