I have been receiving several pitches lately about avoiding or preventing summer brain drain. I must admit that academics will only be a very small part of “Camp Coleman” this summer. Both of my sons do really well academically during the school year and normally their teachers encourage me to just let them enjoy their summer vacations. One thing that the boys do year-round though is read…a lot. I have mentioned how much my oldest son Michael enjoys Rick Riordan’s books many times in the past (most recently in 8+ Boy-Approved Book Gift Ideas) so he was excited when I was asked to be part of a PERCY PACK campaign supporting the 10th Anniversary of the Percy Jackson series as well as other upcoming Rick Riordan releases.
