Rodin Garden Paris


My friends Linda, Nancy, Sarah and Serena all sang the praises of the Musée National Rodin, so it was our first stop this morning. All of the national museums in Paris are free on the first Saturday of each month, so the lines were long but manageable. We learned our timing lesson from yesterday and were there before the museum opened at 10am. Since several friends had spoken so fondly of the garden of the Rodin, that is where we started out. Since it is October, some of the roses and flowers in the garden were starting to fade but there was still plenty of beauty left. Meanwhile, the statues were spectacular. We especially liked “The Thinker”.  It was so much fun to tour the garden with my mom. We were being silly and coming up with ideas of what the various statues would be saying based on their poses…i.e. “So I had a bad day” and “Vogue”.  Memories…
