Crispy Air Fryer Boneless Chicken Thighs Recipe

I usually cook one or two chicken dishes a week. On busy nights, I like to make air fryer boneless chicken thighs because they are flavorful and take less than half an hour to both prepare and cook.

I prefer chicken thighs because they produce “crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside” chicken. Also, as I mentioned, air frying cooks the boneless thighs in under 20 minutes.

Lastly, the thighs are very versatile. Sometimes, we eat them plain (the healthiest option). Other times, we add various sauces to switch up the flavor. I simply brush a favorite sauce on the cooked thighs and air fry them for an additional two minutes. Either way, they are delicious.

Optional Glazes and Sauces:

  • Barbecue sauce
  • Teriyaki sauce
  • Jerked seasoning
  • Honey Sriracha
  • Buffalo sauce
  • The possibilities are endless. If you have extra time, you can even marinate your chicken thighs before cooking them for extra flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • Olive oil
  • Seasoned salt and black pepper (or your favorite spices)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 390°F for 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. Lightly brush or spray the thighs with olive oil and sprinkle with seasoned salt and pepper (or your preferred spice blend). I add garlic powder, onion powder and paprika to the salt and pepper when I’m not going to add glaze or sauce.
  3. Spritz the air fryer basket with oil and arrange the chicken thighs in a single layer. Cook in batches if needed.
  4. Air fry the thighs for 18 minutes, flipping the thighs halfway through for even cooking.
  5. (Optional): Brush your chosen sauce or glaze onto the cooked chicken and give it an additional 2-3 minutes in the air fryer.

Easy, right? Add your favorite sides (roasted broccoli, mashed potatoes, salad, etc.), and enjoy a quick, satisfying meal that the entire family will enjoy. Trust me – you want to add this recipe to your weeknight dinner rotation arsenal!
