Easy Air Fryer Chicken Tenderloins Recipe

I was considering making chicken tenders in my air fryer. I wanted a healthier option, so I prepared some homemade air fryer chicken tenderloins instead. They were some of the best “white meat” chicken pieces I’ve ever eaten so I’m sharing the recipe with you.

Not only is this recipe quick and delicious but it’s also super simple to make. It only requires a few ingredients – chicken tenderloins, a little oil and your favorite chicken seasonings.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds chicken tenderloins
  • Olive oil (or your preferred cooking oil)
  • Preferred chicken seasonings. (I use seasoned salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 390°F for 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. Pat the chicken tenderloins dry with a paper towel to help them cook more evenly. Drizzle with oil and toss to coat. Lightly spray (or brush) them with oil so that they can brown and crisp.
  3. Generously sprinkle with your favorite chicken seasonings on both sides. I use garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, seasoned salt, and black pepper.
  4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket and arrange the tenderloins in a single layer to avoid overcrowding. That’s 4 or 5 strips at a time in the NINJA AF101 so air fry in 2 batches. Cook for 10 minutes. (Flip using tongs after 5 minutes then cook for another 5 minutes until golden brown.)
  5. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Recipe Notes

  • I normally prefer dark meat when it comes to chicken but this white meat chicken was flavorful and moist inside.
  • Another plus is that this chicken is gluten-free. No breading (flour nor panko) is needed for these healthy air fryer chicken tenderloins.
  • You can customize this recipe by experimenting with your favorite seasonings. Cajun spice, lemon pepper, or Italian herbs are a few options.
  • You can double this recipe in the Ninja AF101 to have leftovers for lunches or salads. (Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated in the air fryer.)
  • These tenderloins go well with various dishes like air fryer green beans and air fryer sweet potato cubes.

My family loved this chicken dish. (These air fryer chicken tenderloins taste especially great with your family’s favorite dipping sauces.) I hope that your family enjoys them too!
