Today was a good day.
I started the day with a massage at Garden Retreat Spa. A few of my girlfriends had given me a gift certificate for an hour massage for my birthday back in May and I finally made the time to redeem it! My masseuse MiMi was excellent. “You have a lot of tension,” she chided me. I didn’t disagree. That was one of the reasons that I went to get the massage today. Anyway, she was determined to work the kinks out of my back. She pounded my back with everything that she had – hands, arms…and even her feet. Fortunately, she was a little woman, because she was stepping on my back! (As I was laying on the table, I was trying to figure out how I could include frequent massages in my “mommy contract”. I think that every mom “deserves” a good massage every now and then…) In any event, whatever Mimi did was effective…I floated out of the spa.
Later in the day, I learned about some really great products at an event and met Benji and Joel Madden from Good Charlotte at an Electric Company taping. They had an amazing work ethic and were just very cool, down to earth guys. I will write more about that next week though. I ended the day with my guys simply enjoying time together as a family. I changed my mind…today was a GREAT day 🙂
