Last month, I attended a preview of the New Balance fall 2012 kids’ footwear collection. I will show you the shoes closer to school shopping time. However, I didn’t want to wait to share about Playworks, a group that led the kids in classic recess games with some fun add-ons at the event.
Before the event, I did a little advance research on Playworks. Their mission is “To improve the health and well-being of children by increasing opportunities for physical activity and safe, meaningful play.” You all know that I’m a big fan of play in the lives of kids, so I fully support their mission. Seeing some of their instructors playing with the kids at the New Balance event caused me to become even more impressed. (I wish that their program would come to my kids’ school!)
